As of 30 June 2010 SAGE has completed an entire working year without a recordable lost time injury across the whole SAGE group.
During the 2010 financial year, SAGE employed more than 250 people both on our 7 SAGE office sites and on thousands of industrial customer sites all around the country. We collectively worked over half a million hours over this time and this is a result we can all be proud of.
SAGE is focussed on the safety of our people and has developed an Integrated Management System (IMS) that encompasses Quality, Occupational Health & Safety and Environment. The IMS documentation covers all elements for the 3 standards; ISO 9001, AS/NZS 4801 and ISO 14001. The IMS also covers the legislative requirements for both Occupational Health & Safety and Environment. The IMS aims to instill a Quality, Safety and Environmental culture across all business units through integration and communication at all levels.
The Lost Time Injury Frequency Rate is the principal measure of safety performance for many companies in Australia. A Lost Time Injury is a work injury where the injured party has at least 1 complete day or shift off work.
Congratulations to all and let’s keep looking out for one another!
