SAGE Automation has firmed its commitment to motorsport by sponsoring exciting young sprint car driver Matt Egel of the K&J Racing Team.

SAGE has a long history supporting motor sport in Australia and its latest involvement with sprint cars provides a unique platform to further promote the SAGE brand on both a local and national stage.

Matt is one of the most talented drivers in the series with a string of achievements already under his belt, including being awarded the 2007/08 “Driver of the Year” by the Sprintcar Competitors of S.A. and Speedway City.

Matt’s performances throughout the year, included two feature race victories, third in the SA Championship and a top ten result in the Classic at Warranambool, enabled the talented driver to receive the most prestigious award of the night.

He started speedway racing at the age of 17 and in just four years has graduated to elite level and is primed for further success in the 2008-09 season.
